About Rosita

Born and raised in Sri Lanka and now based in Vancouver, BC, Rosita is a self-taught artist inspired by nature, wildlife, and lived experience. Growing up surrounded by diverse landscapes and rich animal life fostered her deep respect for the natural world. Working primarily in acrylics, She creates realistic paintings that tell stories of connection, conservation, and beauty. Her work reflects a desire to celebrate wildlife in its natural habitat and inspire viewers to appreciate and protect our environment She studied Fine Arts at Emily Carr University of Art & Design Vancouver and have completed courses at the Federation of Canadian Artists with several signature Artists in Vancouver.

Background

Born in Sri Lanka. She grew up in Sri Lanka and lived for short periods of time in LA,, Dubai and Doha and moved to BC, Canada in 2009. She loves to travel and enjoys listening to music.
